Support for 3D Learning Object Development

The TEK Initiative is inviting proposals for Grassroots projects that use NGRAIN 3D models and simulations to enhance teaching.

Last year BCIT entered into a strategic partnership with NGRAIN Corporation, a B.C.-based company that provides 3D visualization and simulation solutions for training and maintenance of complex equipment. NGRAIN initially provided BCIT with software, training and 3D models and knowledge objects. BCIT is now developing models and simulations using the NGRAIN development software. The NGRAIN viewer software enables users to explore and interact with 3D models and knowledge objects, and also review or practice procedural tasks for complex equipment.

This special call for proposals will provide support for faculty and instructors who are interested in enhancing their teaching using this technology.
